I recently had the incredible opportunity of being a part of the Film Is Not Dead workshop in Miami and to say that my life was rocked would be an understatement. Jon Canlas, the mastermind and heart behind FIND is first and foremost completely passionate about his craft and his vision. It was both inspiring and compelling. Jon’s tirelessness and patience ensured that not one question we had was left unanswered…I repeat, not one, and we had plenty. Passion for photography, film, and family poured out of Jon setting the mood for the entire 3 days for all of us. It was deeply humbling.
I went simply to learn how to incorporate shooting film into my client work but I walked away with so very much more…amazing new relationships with some truly gifted artists, my mind filled with new thoughts and ideas about how to mold and restructure my business in the coming months, and most importantly, new zeal to love this thing called photography all over again.
I am forever grateful to Jon, Joe, Catherine, Kristen, Stacey, Ozzy, Ken, Dustin, Bunn, Kristin, Jaq, Randy, Matthew, Ingrid, Elaine & Brian for making FIND Miami so meaningful and memorable.
Lots of images to share in the coming weeks but for now, here are some of Ozzy, Linda & their dancing girl (if you know me at all, you know I can’t resist wind-blown hair and fluttering skirts)
